This luxury room is part of a 1,5 year new student residence with 11 luxury rooms located in the heart of Kortrijk close to the station, the Grote Markt and the campuses of Howest (incl. DAE) and Ghent University.
The room is fully furnished and equipped with private sanitary facilities, WiFi, internet connection, energy-efficient underfloor heating, refrigerator, (vinyl) parquet floor, curtains and individual counters. It has a double Velux window at the back, the east side, and a large double window at the front, which faces the west side, the (quiet) street side. The room has a mezzanine with a lounge-net (the only one in Kortrijk!), and has a surface of 35 m2 on the floor, and 25 m2 at a height of 1m80.
There is also a fully equipped communal kitchen, a bicycle shed and a courtyard.
For electricity, heating, water, and internet, we work with an advance payment of 85 € rather than a fixed fee. In the first rental year (Sep '24 - Aug '25), the average actual cost was 57 € (min. 38 €, max. 80 €) per month. The difference is settled annually. If the monthly cost is below 85 €, the difference will be refunded.
A major advantage is that the student house is managed in-house. As a result, it is not an anonymous organization with a large portfolio of buildings, but a place where personal management and direct follow-up are central.
