Energy being electricity, gas and water is registered individually and set against the monthly fixed fee at the end of the academic year. An economical student consumes less than the fixed fee.
A recently new condensing boiler, double glazing and wall isolation ensure low energy consumption.
In the building as well cabled as wireless internet-connection is available.
The common entrance hall, staircase, kitchen and bathroom get a weekly cleaning. The rooms themselves are to be kept clean by the students themselves. Halfway the academic year and at the end of the academic year a thorough cleaning is made by the owner inclusive the student-rooms.
Household waste is taken away by the owner each weekend in order to avoid odour-nuisance.
The rent agreement is made up for 11 months whereby the student has the room for 12 months at his disposal, so no issues for possible exams over summer-time.
Recently the City of Kortrijk has assigned the highest reachable quality-label of 3 stars to the building with its student-rooms. Yet the rent-price is kept democratic.
Renting by non-Dutch speaking students is no issue. As owner we master the English, French and German language.
